Dr. Mark Davis
Dr. Mark L Davis has been in practice for over 30 years and understands the varied needs of dental patients as they present in the office. It is NOT just about teeth, but about the WHOLE person and helping them to function at there best. Dentistry is a small part of medicine, but an essential part. At Denture & Implant Center of Fresno, Dr Davis looks at each patient as an individual, accessing their overall health and oral condition in order to better develop a treatment plan for each patient. It takes time, but in his opinion it is well worth it.
Dr. Davis grew up in the Central Valley and upon graduating 2 nd in his high school class, decided to attend Oral Roberts University for his undergraduate education, graduating 4 years later with a degree in Biology and Chemistry. Upon graduation he attended Loma Linda University School of Dentistry receiving his Doctorate of Dental Surgery in 1988 and graduating in the top 10% of his class earning him membership in the prestigious OKU (Omicron Kappa Upsilion) society.
Having friends and family in the Valley, Dr Davis returned and started practicing general dentistry in 1988. As time passed Dr Davis continued to develop his skills through hundreds and hundreds of hours in continuing education in places such as the Pankey Institute, Dawson Institute and Misch Institute. Taking those skills and seeing an increased need for implants/dentures and someone who could smoothly integrate complex issues into patient oriented treatment plans, he and his wife Carrie, started Denture & Implant Center of Fresno. Again seeing a need to help people overcome their fears of dentistry, Dr Davis became certified in Oral and IV sedation, allowing his patients to relax and remain carefree while undergoing significant dental procedures. About the same time, Dr Davis got involved in PRP/PRF Blood concentrate technologies believing that it will play an important part in better safer patient healing. Presently Dr Davis is still pushing forward and continuing to learn and teach those around him, the best that dentistry has to offer.
Dr. Davis is married with three adult children. When not practicing he enjoys travelling (to see kids lately), woodworking, motorcycling and has been very involved in the BSF (Bible Study Fellowhip) program for the last decade. In the past Dr Davis has been a volunteer dentist at the Poverello Outreach Clinic in Fresno, serving many of the less fortunate in Fresno.
Dr. Davis is also an author of the published book, Healing: Faith and Medicine--- A medical professional's memoir of healing and dealing with illness. This book chronicles some of the experiences of Dr. Davis's life that have shaped him into who he is and how he has a real understanding of being a patient.
